We are glad to invite you to the Forum which will take place at Congress Center of I. Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University on March 26-27, 2010.
FORUM AIMS - THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGIONAL KNOWLEDGE-BASED ECONOMY AND ITS INTEGRATION INTO THE COMMON EUROPEAN SCOPE THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW CLUSTER MODELS INTO THE EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND RESEARCH; EXPANSION OF THE INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE SPHERE OF HEALTH PROTECTION, TELEMEDICINE, MEDICAL TOURISM, HEALTHY NUTRITION, SPORT AND RECREATION FOR REVITALIZATION AND INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UKRAINIAN AND POLISH REGIONS.
FORUM IS ADDRESSED TO:
· state authorities of local administration, institutions connected with innovative territories development;
· small and medium-sized businesses looking for the new ideas and technologies for self-development;
· research institutions, business incubators and technology transfer centers interested in commercialization of new knowledge and innovative projects;
· institutions searching for joint-project partners and cross-border cooperation in particular under EUREKA initiative,
FORUM IS PATRONATED by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, State Agency for Innovations and Investments, Ternopil regional and city councils.
Forum co-organizers and partners are scientific and educational institutions from Ternopil, Lviv, Krakow, Rzeszow and other Ukrainian and Polish cities.
THE PROJECT IS GRANTED BY THE «EAST-EAST: PARTNERSHIP BEYOND BORDERS» PROGRAM OF THE OPEN SOCIETY INSTITUTE OF THE INTERNATIONAL RENAISSANCE FOUNDATION, THE FULBRIGHT PROGRAM IN UKRAINE.
FORUM PROGRAM
Two days Forum program includes scientific speeches by the international experts and specialists, business presentations of the entrepreneurs, round table discussions, and exhibition of innovative projects.
FORUM SUBJECT AREAS ARE:
- Regions of Knowledge – spatial development of the cities and their suburbs in terms of global knowledge-based economy.
- Clusters, networks and other innovative forms of territorial integration in social, ecological and economic areas for transferring and commercialization of knowledge in terms of interregional and trans-borders cooperation.
- Informational and communicative technologies for the «healthy life» territories development.
- Marketing strategies for the revitalization of the depressed areas (intellectual resources and joint projects management, financing, logistics, marketing, communications in the international scientific and educational areas).
FORUM LANGUAGES: Ukrainian, Polish and English.
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FORUM, please register online and send to Organizing Committee (ag@regionsofknowledge.in.ua) the following materials:
- registration form including the information about the participants (for each participant separately);
- annotation (theses) of your speech – filled in form in Polish and English – 1 page;
- presentation of your speech in Polish and English;
- poster – presentation of your institution including innovative project proposals in Polish and English – 1 page in Power Point for exhibition and project contest ( for contest conditions go to website www.regionsofknowledge.in.ua);
- text of the speech in Polish or English for simultaneous translation;
The collection of Forum materials will be published after the Forum on the basis of the delivered speeches
Forum participants are selected on the basis of the received registration forms and theses. Forum participation is free of charge. Participants’ number is limited to 120.
We will be grateful if you confirm your interest in Forum participation till March 15, 2010.
Selected participants will be informed on the 17th of March, 2010.
